What are your hours of operation?
At Small Feat Preschool, we offer Full-Time program: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
At what age does Small Feat Preschool accept students?
We have programs for children of all ages, from 3 weeks old to K-12, each designed to meet the specific educational needs of children at different stages.
How do you group children?
We group children by age but also consider other factors when deciding the composition of the classrooms, such as the boy-girl ratio and their social-emotional development.
You can learn more about our Preschool Programs here.
How is individualized learning addressed?
Our goals are to promote the physical development of children, help them become socially competent, encourage emotional growth and provide opportunities for cognitive learning. To achieve this, we work with small groups that allow our teachers to carefully observe each child and implement the educational strategies that best suit their pace and needs.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
We know it’s not always easy to potty train a toddler, so they don’t need to be potty trained to join our programs. We can help you teach them!
Do you offer food to students?
At Small Feat Preschool, we are proud to say that we have a FREE food program for all our students. We work hand in hand with the Child Care Food Program of the Florida Department of Health to provide our students with a balanced menu every day.
Contact our school for more information.
What is Small Feat Preschool curriculum?
For Infants and Toddlers, we use the BEYOND CRIBS & RATTLES COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM, focused on creating intentional developmentally appropriate play experiences for infants and toddlers.
And for Discovers and up BEYOND CENTERS & CIRCLE TIME COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM, which provides teachers with an understanding of children’s play, well-planned and organized play opportunities, and information for creating and scaffolding engaging play environments.
How often are toys and classrooms cleaned?
We have a dedicated cleaning team to ensure your children are always in a safe environment. We perform daily sanitization, and teachers clean toys and other educational items regularly throughout the school day.
Do you accept children with allergies and dietary restrictions?
Yes, we do. However, please discuss any allergies with the preschool staff during enrollment. You must also submit written documentation with guidelines for addressing any special dietary need or food allergy. We will always try to work together with you to ensure your children receive the best care.
Please note that if your child’s physician prescribed an Epi-Pen, you are responsible for providing it.
How do you handle separation anxiety?
During the first days of each period, parents can accompany their children to the classroom and spend a moment showing them around and helping them socialize. In addition, we organize many activities during the school term in which parents can participate!
Do you offer any transportation services?
Our after-school program provides safe and reliable transportation for some schools at a ratio of our facilities. Contact us to learn more.
